Richard Allen's defense describes his treatment in jail | Delphi murders trial Day 13

Judge Frances Gull ruled Richard Allen's defense team cannot tell the jury about their alternate theory that the girls were killed in a pagan ritual. That also means the jury will not hear from people the defense was planning to call to testify about other potential suspects in the case.

Gull ruled Allen's defense team had not shown a direct connection between other potential suspects and the murders.

Friday, the defense also hoped to show the jury videos of Allen in prison around the time of his confessions to illustrate his mental anguish caused by the harsh conditions he was living under.

The judge ruled the jury cannot see those videos until the defense can confirm that the dates of the videos coincide with the time Allen confessed.

This should scare every American citizen. Guilty or Not, this is a terrible abuse of the justice system by the judge and prosecution. This will go to appeal to the highest court in the land once this circus is over and/if they get a conviction. Hopefully the judge gets held to account when it does.

Didn't they find NO DNA of Allen at the scene or on the girls? I don't know *what's* going on anymore.

Why did the reporter not say anything about the drug Allen was given while in jail?

Not just jail but a maximum security prison in solitary confinement for 13 months for "safe keeping". They wanted a confession and they got one by making him go crazy .

I don't know if he's innocent or guilty, but the treatment of Allen clearly drove him crazy.

The evidence against him seems insanely low and considering the abuse he is getting while being in prison. POLICE BOTCHED THIS CASE.

Disgusting abuse and incompetence from the police. He confessed after being in solitary. This judge is creepy as hell-this is not justice for Abby and Libby.

Can anyone agree with me that RA should take the stand? If he is so innocent, and his attorneys are so adamant that he is innocent, then let he himself defend himself, explain to the jury why you are innocent. I know I sure af would. No problem! I would allow the jury to ask me anything, because if I am innocent I should be able to answer any question. If I was in the jury I would want to see him on the stand.

Justice for Abby & Libby 🙏
Sadly, this trial does not seem to be justice for anyone.

Watching from oz and watch lots of us trials, blows my mind the judge is refusing to let the defense suggest odinism, it’s clear there were signs and that someone else could of been involved. Theirs something so off about this.

No DNA evidence and he only confessed while he was in police custody???? also the court room is no cameras. Very fishy and the police seem Insanely biased. These poor girls deserve better justice.

It'll be a damn shame if he's guilty but set free on a technicality because of how he's been treated.

FBI became involved the the case and obtained a search warrant for Ron Logans house, barn and structures and told Delphi police that RON LOGAN was their man.

We are to act Justly and with mercy. Act better than any accused criminal.

Justice without mercy is cruelty” is a quote by St. Thomas Aquinas from his Commentary on the Gospel of St. Matthew. He also said, “Mercy without justice is the mother of dissolution”

Mercy and truth have met each other: justice and peace have kissed (Ps. 84:11)
