Great video, Andy. A rule I have used is to play and sing songs where in the original, the singer plays guitar, which holds true for nearly all the songs you suggest. More difficult are the songs from bands that have a singer out front. More difficult are to sing songs by Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Who, Michael Jackson, etc.
