Man I love this channel, I have been following for years and have learned so much from you that a strong 85% of what I know on guitar cam from your tutorials. You have inspired me to play even on those days when I was creatively unmotivated and even going through the past couple of years with my Cancer battle and lockdowns your videos have always got me smiling and playing along to some of my favourite tunes. Even as I type this in my hospital bed with my guitar nearby this video has me reaching for that guitar to learn these tunes. Thank you Marty for all that you do and I hope you're having an incredible day as you have made mine with this video, much love and support from the UK from a long time fan <3

Thank you, Marty for your encouragement, demonstrations and suggestions for 'Songs That Every Acoustic Guitarist Should Know'.

I attempted to teach myself guitar with a very poor instrument when I was fifteen but gave up at twenty! In retirement I needed a new hobby and could afford some decent electric and acoustic instruments and set them up myself or refer them to a luthier. Whilst I enjoy attempting some popular pieces on electric guitar, my goal is to turn up at a BBQ with my guitar and get everyone singing!

A 'Database Manager' colleague obtained a two year touring gig with a popular band. On his return to the UK he said that his greatest satisfaction was accompanying children singing Christmas Carols. Learn some popular songs, get the crowd singing, it is the best medicine!

Singing the chord names will never stop being hilarious and entertaining, especially if you combine it with the lyrics. I'll never forget "All in all it's just a - nother brick in the D" lol.

I've been really struggling to learn my 4th or 5th song after wonderwall, horse with no name, devil rolling stones song, and Tennessee whiskey song, redemption song tabs and learning Hey Joe has just blown me away as it's a song I love and can easily enough play for joy. The chord at 10:04 I'm not sure on what your pressing but o well. There's so much songs or riffs thats boring and not interesting to me I'm glad to find that extra song thanks Marty I've had zero lessons face to face with anyone but you have taught me greatly. Your zoomed in video shots and explanations to play are the best Ive come across for me. There are other dudes that are reasonable but I would point anyone trying to learn to you first. Thanks for your help. ✌️😎

I introduced Marty Music to my son in law, purely by chance who had no interest in playing the guitar, but he sat around while i was going through the tutorial for Laylaa by Eric Clapton. My son in law was under the impression he was a left handed player, and this may have been true considering he is left handed... This meant getting him a guitar strung for his preference, which would happen in a couple of weeks. After a weekend, and dozens of Marty's video's... he is comfortably playing right handed, and been looking at guitars of late... Don't ever stop signing the chords Marty! They comes in handy when practicing or learning something, it's the last thing I remember when stuck between chords for a song, I've picked up from one of your videos.

Marty, thank you...this video has done more for my guitar journey than any other in the last 18 months as I've trawled around looking for inspiration. Thanks for keeping it real, and not impossible.

It was nice to see the B7 again. While learning guitar in the early 70's, A lot of songs in the Mel Bay books used G7-A7-C7 and D7.
