"Tinatawag ng PanginoongJesu-Cristo ang lahat ng ibinigay sa Kanya ng Ama upang mamuhay sa Kanyang harapan na may pagsunod sa Kanyang Salita... upang itaguyod ang pagpapatibay sa isat isa at sa pagganap sa pangmadlang pagsamba (public worship)."

We look to God in worship.
We look within for edification.
We look outside to evangelize.

The purpose of the church gathering is:
1. To worship Him, and
2. For mutual encouragement with fellow believers

The sign of true disciples is commitment to walk in obedience through Gods WORD.
John 15:14 - You are my friends IF... (this is a descriptive clause, not a conditional clause)
Obedience to Christ's command is a descriptive mark of true discipleship.

The word disciple in the Bible is used in a general sense. Because there are outwardly identified to be followers of Christ.

Luke 6:46 - why do you call me Lord, Lord?

The paragraph 5 of the confession (LBCF) talks about the true disciples (truly saved) of Christ, are the ones who has a lifestyle of obedience to the commandments of God, are members of the church of Christ.

Matthew 18 gives a presuppostition that every believer is a member of a local church.

We minister to others without exalting ourselves.

The church gathers centered with God as its focus. Psalm 15:1 - not unto us O Lord be the glory. Matthew 5:15 - let your light so shine, that they might glorify God.
