Heres a tip that I use for smashies. After you oil the grill, sprinkle some flakey salt down on the grill before you smash the beef down, then again on the beef before flipping. It enhances the flavor of the crust formed on the patty ALOT, thank me later 😎

I'm not exactly sure why these Oklahoma onion burgers have suddenly shown up everywhere. They are an Oklahoma tradition that's been around for a long time. But FYI, they sounded so tasty that I had to try my own "veganized" version. I've made them with store-bought vegan mushroom & quinoa burgers (cheap) as well as more traditional tasting plain vegan burgers using a little olive oil for frying. I put a lid on to fully steam the buns (best way) and melt the vegan cheese slices (Violife is the GOAT) in the last minute. And both versions were delicious AF! And the best thing of all: no animal had to live in misery or be slaughtered for my pleasure!

I know it's late for a comment, but use White Onions. Those onions don't burn and are the best to use.
The White Onions work so much better..👍🏻

Great video but do yourself a favor and ditch the individually wrapped cheese and try either Kraft Deli Deluxe or the Great Value Deluxe unwrapped American cheeses they are much better tasting and melt as good or better on burgers.

That looks amazing. I do want to say I watch alot of cooking videos on Youtube, and every single one of them the person on the video takes a bite and its always delious. Just once I would like them to take a bite and say (Oh my, that taste like total CRAP)

don't oversalt the onions; that's what gets done most often; you do need drier onions, so its tricky
