Fun fact: ICANN's root server instance (L-root or "IMRS") runs NSD and handles hundreds of thousands of queries per second. Thanks for the great walkthrough!

4:28 afaik the server-count should match then number of cpu threads on the physical server, at least that's what i've read in the documentation :)
