There has been a lot of controversy with Zenless Zone Zero for the past view months so I want to make sure that I am as transparent as possible when it comes to my feelings towards the game! In this video, we talk about the issues with ZZZ going into the release (based on CBT3) in hopes of making sure the development team sees a video like this to help improve it!

From what I heard with the interview it does seem like the team behind the game has a lot of good ideas on how too improve it and they want too improve and it seems like they do actually listen so because of that I am very hopeful for this game

The brain-dead damage sponge enemies are a concern of mine. Combat depth doesn't feel rewarding if you can still successfully ignore it.

I've had an eyes on this game even before the Devs lol.

The biggest problem for ZZZ currently is that its NOT LAUNCHED YET 😂 I'm joking, or am I? I don't even know.

Being serious though, I haven't played any of the betas so I can't just point to anything I dislike or like, because what I may like now from just watching it, I could dislike after playing and visa versa.

If there is anything to dislike so far, is that ZZZ don't give us the players more options of difficult. I know they gave us Challenge Mode in Story, but why not give that more user adjustable options. For example, after you click Challenge Mode, you are presented with various sliders affecting different attributes.
1 - Enemy Aggressiveness
2 - HP Toughness
3 - Increase the chance for enemies to faint an attack (tempting)
4 - Handicap (Lessens the amount of counter, swap, ultimate charge rate etc. lol)

But being honest those are not necessary, as long as they did make Challenge Mode a Challenge.

Maybe it's because I (like most people) haven't played beta, but I feel like the "TV mode" hate is just manufactured by CCs for content idk. I'm really looking forward to the release July 4 but hopefully they fix the fps issues on ps5

I feel like a lot of the people hyping the game rn, as soon as they play it they are going to complain about the combat, especially the younger crowd. And even if the combat is easy, a lot of players struggle to even complete any story content in HSR and Genshin that isn't just the normal easy enemies and then go on Hoyolab and other platforms to complain about the difficulty, so waiting to see what happens especially when the combat is so different to the other 2 games.

I'm really hyped up about ZZZ but I keep hearing the difficulty problem like you said, I hope the "public live-beta" is going to add more difficulty instead of ramping up the sponge (health). Take Wuthering Waves for example, boss challenge has different levels, each level would pack more sponge but also adding more ability to the total boss' move set, making the next level more deadlier and actually challenging. From the other videos I watched, it seems that the enemies in the current version is pretty much unmoving, non-interacting practice dummies.

As much as I want zzz to succeed I feel like before or maybe abit after launch the combat system of the enemies gotta be tuned
Outside of boss fights they feel like punching bags tbh with little to no mechanical depth
I think what makes a great combat system is not only what the player has in their arsenal but how they use those tools in order to deal with the enemy but if that enemy doesn't really have the player trying all that hard to engage with, the comabt just feels boring and mashy

Unfortunately despite applying for cbt1 and 2 and even 3 I never got access too them so everything regarding the tv mode all of that is new too me the whole game is new too me so for me I will give it a review after 1 week maybe a month and decide if I wanna keep playing and also comment on what they could improve on

My issue is the difficulty.
Such a easy fix though, just make enemies attack more often.

I didn't play any of the BETA's, but I've heard people complaining about the difficulty for Shiyu Defense.

The thing is, the mobs level in that content is lower than your character's max level. But in Genshin/HSR, the enemy's level is always higher that your character's max level.

My guess is when the game's released, the will released an updated version of Shiyu Defense with 12 levels instead of 10. But that's just my prediction. 😄

The biggest problem with ZZZ is that they're launching the game with 2 limited waifus as the first 2 banners. As a waifu collector this is a huge issue.

I haven't played any of betas or other games from the Hoyo verse. I wanted to play Genshin for Itto, but everyone I talked to said he wasn't viable. My only concern is that I want to be able to play and have fun with a charaters I enjoy, not just meta. I don't need or want Billy to carry me through everything. Just wanna be able to shoot some stuff with him even after a year or two of playing.

I mever thought about why the TV section felt off to me and i think your idea of there being no vibrant colors is why.

In the CBT2 that i got to be a part of, the best TV mode area was the event where you had small sections of the TVs that turned into minigames where you either had to collect stuff while dodging lines coming across the tvs or get to an open area after the red tvs went away and what was great about them was how vibrant both the music for those sections were, the colors and how it felt way more active as if i was playing the game instead of being guided on rails to the next TV location.

If we can get more of that, then the TV sections will be fine.
