I got first 🥇 place today in 10 km 😊 I can't believe it!! I have been running for many years, today I realised that I just don't wanna be in the competition but I wanna start winning the competition, incredible feeling 💪😀💪❤❤

Running cured me of 2 auto immune illnesses, no more doctors or meds 5 years and going strong, when I was ill then was discouraged to run, no am encouraged to rub by doctors and specialist because even they did not know how I was cured, its amazing wat any sports or exercise can do❤

For me, it calms me down, and helps me think positive through the difficult times! Plus I run Races to have Fun and to prove to myself that I can get through anything! What makes the Races more special is seeing Fans, volunteers and fellow Racers throughout the course and especially at the Finish Line to cheer me on!

So true. I started out walking at least 1 mile a day to lose weight. I was over 215 lbs and terribly unhappy with how I looked and felt. I slowly found my body wanting to take over and have me run, and I could only run for like 10 seconds before having to stop and rest at first. This was during the pandemic. Before I knew it, I had lost 90 lbs, and I ran in my first 10k race with a 55 minute finish time. I have my first half marathon Dec 15th.
