Shurima as a region seems disjointed, too many balls in the air. Major void presence, darkin, Zerath, and the question whether the Shuriman people want the Empire to return.

As a Malz main from back when he had voidlings on his W, can confirm he is completely wasted as a character. At least he is kinda fun to play, still needs a rework.

Malzahar should've been Kai'Sa's birth father with Kassadin and his wife having only just adopted her

I don't lik that they "progressed" him from serving watchers, to serving Bel'veth. I think it's fine if you want him to be a Bel'veth supporter but I honestly think it's better to just retcon it at that point. This way he just seems flip floppy and it doesn't feel like what the watchers did to him had much power on his mind. He should be more determined in his way of thinking, not switching stances on a whim.
I also think it would've worked better if he worked for Bel'veth and you'd have him slowly progress into either betraying her or abandoning her after a defeat and joining the watchers instead.
