"Not a Toyota Corolla obviously". Angry Hachi-Roku noises in the background.

For some people, car is merely a way to go from point A to point B

For others, car is a way of life

It may just be a machine, but it has more soul and character than many of the people I know

I swear my 240z has a soul. If there is something she wants fixed she points it out but always waits till I have extra cash. Its weird.

So, you’re a car person?
Name every car

For all the controversies and people who say he's not a "great guy" I'll always love Clarkson because you can tell he's just purely connected to cars

Not even joking around one time I changed the fluids in my car, cleaned various bits of rust up, tightened up the suspension and rotated the tires. The gearshift felt smoother though I hadn't touched it, there were many rattles gone and the windows went up and down faster. Maybe I was making it all up, but it was very real to me. It was like the car was happy and thankful for attention.

This man, especially now with his mountain man beard, is a worldwide treasure.

My little Mini called Geoff is the most soulful car I've ever driven. He's just so happy all the time to be a car, and you get the impression he was sad that his headlight went out when it did, and he was sad he couldn't illuminate the road for me. He's just a happy dog who tries his best and I love him.

I don't even really consider myself a "car guy, " at least in comparison to every "car guy" that I know, but I just can't see how anyone can look at a car and not have an opinion on both it's mechanical functionality and the artistic skill that went into designing it.

My first car, my Mercury Grand Marquis that I inherited from my grand parents, I felt like it was alive. I even had people comment they loved how much trust I put in that car. I felt like when I got it, it came to life because I put the extra TLC into the extra maintenance, keeping it clean, and it always seemed like when I was trying to show off with it, it knew it. I had so much fun with it, between autox, the drag strip, and even just the mountain cruises the local car club would make, it was very at home. I hated to see the day I said goodbye to it.

There was a moment not too long ago where I was driving my 2008 Volvo XC70 home and I swear to you, I felt a weird bond with her and I can’t explain it. The feeling of cruising down the highway, the small vibrations you feel in the steering wheel, the smooth transitions from land to lane on the endless highway is indescribable.

My first car was a 2015 vauxhall corsa, will I actually only sold yesterday. It wasn't a great car in terms of performance, the seats looked a but funny, and it made a strange noise when I hit the breaks. But it was the car that I had my first heart break in, it was the car that my dad took me to a dealership to view, and it was the car I drove my dog to the vets to be put down in.

A car is more than a hunk of metal, it's a memory box.

Yeah totally agree. My first car was a chevy matiz 0.8 (52hp of pure rage🤣) and that little shit box had personality.
I miss him very much😭

As he said, non-car people don't get it. My Subaru has broken down on me, nearly killed me, and most of all. Drained my wallet dry. My family calls me outrageous, my friends call me an idiot and people looking in think I'm weird. But I will keep on driving, tinkering, and maintaining him until the day I can no longer do so.

They see cars as products, throwable technology. An old outdated phone for example. That’s sadly what electric cars will do to the world.
