Yeah I've been on antidepressants for like 8 months I'm just right now getting off them because they were also for anxiety and PTSD but it's getting worse. It can be very helpful but I'd rather personally do it more naturally

Do these mess with your brain like a once your on them for a while your on them for life ? I've been on anti depressants for 8 year's I'm 22 switched 7 times recently switched last week getting terrible side effects. I've been off them twice for months at a time but relapsed both times i weaned off the correct way even slower then doctor said too. At this point im kind of thinking they may be making me worse than better wish I did therapy first but I was a kid and psychiatrist just wrote prescription real fast without recommending therapy. None have worked well for me I hope this one does.

I'm using Sertraline...so far so good. If "normal" mood is a 10...it keeps me about a 7

Why doesn't anyone ever say that you should not take antidepressants if you have dissociation? SSRIs make dissociation worse! Hence, an extreme zombie-like/unreal state. I speak from experience. I was prescribed them for anxiety. If you have dissociation do not take SSRIs!!! I felt completely unreal on them and was going to cut my arm open to see if it was actually real from the inside. I didn't do it but I'm pretty sure I would have killed myself and not even have realized I did or felt any pain. So, please if you have dissociation SSRIs are not a good idea!!
