Hamas on the two-state solution and a new charter - UpFront

In an extended interview with senior Hamas leader and spokesman Osama Hamdan, we discuss the release of a new Hamas charter that may eliminate its anti-Semitic language.

"When we are talking about the Jews, we are not against their religion, we are not against their beliefs, we are not against them as a people," says Hamdan. "We are against the one who is occupying our cities, villages."

When asked about an independent Palestine, Hamdan said they would support a "Palestinian state on the lines of June 4, 1967, including the right of return and Jerusalem as a capital for the state", but declined to call it a "two-state solution".

There should be a two state solution already. Israel should get Egypt and Jordan to annex Gaza and the West Bank. Hamas and the PA should be dismantled.

From what I understand as an Israeli is that Hamas want a state in the 67 borders with Jerusalem (all of it) as the capital of the Palestinian state with the right of return (into Israel) regardless anything that has to do with Israel.
meaning no peace what so ever, just a state.

Two-state solution was made impossible by Israel's expansion of its Jewish-only settlements deep into the occupied Palestinian territories! So, even if there was a two-state solution, how are the Palestinians supposed to have a country when it's broken into pieces by the Israeli settlements, Jewish-only roads and  road blocks that connect those settlements to Israel? Moreover, even if Israel wanted, it would be impossible to dismantle the illegal settlements and remove the million or so settlers out of the occupied Palestinian territories?

the two state solution before 1967 border is small compared to the British era. Gaza and Westbank are connected back then.
2ndly, there are 700k illegal settlers who lives in the west bank.
if you want fair and justice, 50% for you, 50% for me.
but israel doesnt want that.
