Brave is such a smooth and transparent browser, its lightening fast, without any backend trackings and unwanted scripts running behind and way data saver. Its time to say good bye to other browsers. 2021 rocking!

I've been using brave for about two years, and the truth is that I don't miss chrome at all, except at work that I can't install it brave

Actual review starts at 2:50. Also, in order to claim the BAT rewards you HAVE TO upload your personal information INCLUDING a picture of your ID / Driver License. Hard pass for me, but I do use the browser w/ crypto option off

Agreed, I heard about the creator of JavaScript had some involvement with the creation of Brave browser. That’s one of the reason I switch over and yes Chrome eat so much of my memory when using it sometimes.

I don't like the fact that i can't customize the new tab background. other than that it's great.

I mean, yes it's good in privacy and ad blocking i guess. But it LACKS basic important things like customization on your new tab page. You're limited to either their sponsored images and, if you turn sponsored images off, a gradient background. What's worse, you can't even customize your quick links on the browser which is a HUGE turnoff for me personally.

Edge, Chrome, Firefox, and most other browsers offers these BASIC features yet BRAVE doesn't have it. What a disappointment

I've been using Brave on Android for a couple of years now. Best browser by far for phones.

Installed to get away from Firefox but it's missing the File menu bar and the book view for articles. When they add those two features I can completely dump Firefox.

"Pinch to Zoom" is basically hitting "control" and use the mouse's scroll wheel, right? I might be old-fashioned, but when I have to move around a lot, I find mice to be quicker and nicer to use than trackpads.

If importing bookmarks is one of your main concerns in a browser, you don't use a browser imo. You haven't even discussed the main features of brave at all. Ad/tracking/onion networking/fingerprint....but nooo. Crypto currency and importing bookmarks. Seriously.

I’d give Microsoft Edge for Mac. It’s privacy focused like brave, but has beautiful UI/UX on the level of Apple’s design. Plus it has features no other browsers have such as collections (fantastic for research), read aloud text (with human-like cloud powered voice), amazing annotations, even on PDFs (like Markups on iOS), and all chrome extensions and settings work. Your entire chrome settings can be imported. Better yet, it’s privacy settings are just simple and intuitive. Vertical tabs are AWESOME. Best of all, you can sync settings between Mac, PC, iOS, and Android! Highly recommend, Alhamdullillah

2:51: 'And then, much to my surprise, my *pleasant* surprise, you can *actually* import bookmarks and settings from different browsers…'

Importing bookmarks has been a basic feature for decades.

The thing that Firefox gets right is the Bookmarks. The way it stays static on the side and lets me interact indiscriminately is important. I can have it open and it doesn't 'stop' anything else from working while it's open. Not so for Brave. You open a Bookmark folder in Brave, you have to 'click' on something and close it out before the next interaction. Not very intuitive, kind of archaic. This is my favorite and most used feature so little disappointed you didn't even briefly go into that but you get a thumbs up for your "Youtube channel" voice. It a voice I can listen to.

Why are the bookmark folders grey? They are yellow running Brave in Windows. Can that be changed?

I tried for the first time today to set up Brave but shortly after starting Brave it ask me for my Password for Outlook mail. I assume Window's 10 is auto feeding profile info about me so if I have a password for Outlook mail I never see it and never prompted for it. Brave wants me to c create a new pass word and I wonder will this have an effect on websites that do contact me should I stay wit or leave Brave? I uninstalled Brave being not yet knowing how to get around in Brave.
