KSP Interstellar Extended Beam Power Compendium (part II)

Today we review some basic functionality of relays, receivers and transmitters. There are two basic types of relays; a passive, or pass-through relay, and an active, or conversion, relay. Passive relays, as far as kspie is concerned function by linking one receiver for relay, and then 'activating relay' on another. This basically bounces the signal. An active relay will gather power from all activated receivers and then using a transmitter will re-transmit this power, usually in a different wavelength. When you hear 'beam power conversion station' think active relay. When you hear 'passive relay' think 'big mirror.'

The next video will cover parts further up the tech tree so stay tuned for IR/Uv lasers and Xrays!

The final video in the compendium will combine what we've learned to construct a psuedo-dyson swarm. (the limitations of my pc prevent me making an actual one, lol)

Thanks for watching!

I used a 5meter passive relay that I added a com sat relay to I set it to ka band and have a huge power station in kerbin orbit.
My power station uses a black hole generator and is warp capable and can fly anywhere in the system.
I set 2 panels to receive and the rest to relay thanks for your video it took me a while to understand this stuff.
