You can have 700 mods in LE whithout having any issue. Not with SE, because they keep updating the game in a way that make a lot of mod useless. I'm telling you from my experience. I'm playing actually with LE with 512 mod atm, and i dont have any issue of any kind. Just need to know how to do it.
The only thing where SE is better then LE, is if you play only in Vanilla or very few mod. In that way then yes SE is better looking, less bug, and more stable. If you are a modder addict, then LE is still the best option.

If you have high end pc go for SE, if you dont LE will give you the opportunity to experiance one of the last good games your potato can run...xD

Skyrim special edition comes with a big performance penalty over original one. I cannot mod its visuals becoz I cannot afford further performance loss. My modded legendary edition not only looks way better but also performs much better than the special edition at the same time.

3 years later, and I think Special Edition has become more worthwhile. Apparently the mod Skywind (remake of Morrowind in Skyrim) does not plan to have support for Oldrim. There are other cases as well.

Excellent! It helped me figure out what are the differences. Visually I like SE a lot more cos it fits how I prefer Skyrim to look and feel when I roam around slaying dragons. Good effort! Legal, obrigado!

Years later and l still can't stop playing this game. It's weird how addicted l am to it, even before the mods. The mods give it crazy longevity for me. I'll always play this and fallout.

Edit: Also thank you for the vid. It helped me out. I made a rash decision and ended up buying the game for pc. I thought l may have picked the wrong one but you've cleared any doubt that l had.

I have Legendary edition on the 360, I am playing it over and over as new characters and I haven't  played as a Redguard, Nord, and Orc yet. But when I play as a Orc it will be my last character for awhile.
