Quick update: It appears as though the Anniversary Edition won't upgrade SE automatically on Gamepass at the start but there will be a cheaper price for the upgrade. Still not super clear of this relates to regular GamePass or Ultimate.

I was gifted regular old Skyrim quite awhile ago so I figure it's time for an upgrade

If the graphics are updated with Ray tracing and 60 fps with crash fixes then it's a definite buy/download for me. I really don't care much for creation club content so we shall see. Basically I want the console versions to look clean like PC but that could be wishful thinking lol

I've already got most of the stuff on creation club, so I'm not seeing a big plus to this. I am seeing a great negative as I'm using SKSE, and am forced to reset all of my mods, allowing only non SKSE mods, as SKSE will surely be broken. Grumble. If they can repair those ugly faces and drop some serious high poly then I may change my mind.

Vortex (Nexus Mods) has a link on its main page to a discussion of what mods are broken.
I have 66 mods, and after applying the beta SKSE update everything seems to work so far except CPB physics. This affects my main character and boats. So it's not that big of a deal as I only ever look at my character to, uh, test the bounce mechanics. I tested the game and it looks BETTER but I have no idea what's changed since I've already heavily modded the textures. For example, I don't remember there being a high quality BEE inside a jar before. I think possibly shadows and/or lighting is slightly improved? I don't know, but it seems sharper and to just "pop" more.

Hi everyone! Since we are approaching the release date of the Skyrim: Anniversary Edition, I thought we would take a look at what is included! Let me know if you all enjoy a concise (at least I hope!) news video like this. I like making content that people can come back to but I think this one can live on the channel and be useful even after the update and Anniversary Edition comes out. I was under the impression (when they made the announcement a while ago) that the Anniversary Edition was going to be free to Special Edition customers, not that we were getting an entirely different Free Anniversary Update/DLC and then had to buy the Anniversary Edition Upgrade to experience it in full. Did they lie? Was I mistaken?

Correct me if im wrong, so the only difference in both editions is that the anniversary one gives you the creator club mods for free like all of them or just some ? and is that the only difference?

I first played Vanilla Skyrim on the Xbox 360. Now I own the SE on Steam. Thank you for making an informative video. I don't think I will buy the full AE, unless I buy Skyrim for my Xbox Series X.

Imo this is likely going to be the last time Skyrim will get upgraded so it's defo going to be the best way to play Skyrim if you don't want to play with mods and or have never played Skyrim, and if that's the case then you really need to crawl out of that rock you've been hiding under all this time 😂👌.

Deleted all my mods and reloaded the game on my ps4. Started the game over with the anniversary edition. My question is should I start with the mods you mentioned or wait til I am through the first part of the game? Glad I found you on utube I was pretty discouraged when I kept getting (0kb can't save data problem).

I got Special Editoin free when i bought LE Skyrim back around 2014. Just started playing SE after the update and have been hesitant to upgrade in full to AE. I do not want to see my mods break at all before SKSE gets a proper patch.
