Not all industries are as lucky. For example, the tree care industry is capital intensive. If you are paying more renting equipment each month, then you can replace those with cheaper equipment loans. Depends on the equipment and what the numbers are telling you. I wish I took on debt sooner for some of the equipment. Depends on the type of equipment of course, how they hold value and how you depreciate it. None the less, your point is taken, but it can be done correctly early too. Ultimately, I think it depends on the math, coupled with your EXIT STRATEGY. Many people are afraid of math. Your exit strategy/plan will help influence what you need to do now.

So my dad kinda worked me into getting a 2016 Silverado 3500. We are splitting the payment. 2 payments later I feel like its holding me back on my lawn and landscape business.
Great video.
Now onto figuring how to pay that asap

I only wish you were around giving this sort of advice when I was your age. I spent way too many years in debt, paying staff whilst I went without. And it got me NO WHERE. I ended up working in a factory hating every minute I was there. Then a couple of years ago the plant closed down and I was left unemployed. That's when I started my window cleaning business. It's been a struggle as I live in the country over here in Australia and like the USA most residential jobs are only once a year. But your advice has kept me going and believing I can make it succeed. Thanks Matt.
