Hey Eddie ! Thank you for your video, it was really helpfull.
However, I don't really understand how do you get in your NAS via Terminal ? I see after "ssh", you write down an : (Admin account I believe) @ (server of the nas)-(the port)
But : how do you know the port ? Because I tried like you the "-p24" and it gives me : "connection refused"
I had the double factor activated but ofc I disabled it for the manipulation.

Can you add instructions on how to open the homebridge ports in Synology firewall? I know to do port 8581, but don't know how to find and open "the port Homebridge was assigned too."

I have a Synology DS415+ that will only run 7.1 - if I follow your steps, Homebridge asks for Node.js v20, but 7.2 is required for v20. Is there a Homebridge package that works with Node.js v18?

Hi Eddy, again a great tutorial. Using HOOBS under Docker ( a combination which works but I don't like ) I was happy to see that Homebridge is now possible directly on my SYN NAS. I used your tutorial and installation was great but I am now facing the problem that after having scanned the QR code to process on my iPhone starts but comes back after a while with " Unable to Add Accessory. Accessory not reachable". Yes I have a fierst plug-in installed and I can see it being loaded in Homebriges log. Any idea ??

Thanks for the great video. I just followed your steps and while installing Homebridge get an error saying "Port 8581 configured for this package is used by another service or reserved for system use." Any suggestions on how to get around this?

Hi, I'm trying to install Homebridge on my DS215+ for the first time, but it's failing on the install, telling me I need node.js v20. I currently have v18 installed. When I try your steps to update the node, using "sudo hb-service update-node", I get an error saying that this command is not found. What do you suggest to update my node.js to v20? Thanks.
