With the Highland build quality, the Model Y would probably become my first EV.

Tesla: bi-directional charging, please!

As a European who lives in a country with a loooot of roundabouts, I wish Tesla kept the stalks or would at least offer the ability to buy stalks directly from them rather than having to rely on a third party.

I’d love to see a 500 mile range MY! I don’t have charging at my apartment complex so I go a few days without charging. He would really be targeting the population like myself who don’t expect a daily recharge! The peace of mind would be helpful which it looks like lots of other would agree on :)

If this car actually brings significant changes, it would give Tesla a great year... Not just face changes

Why is range such a big deal to non EV drivers? LOL They have a 1000 and one excuses but hardly drive their ICE care more than 100 miles a day.

Tesla sales in Australia are at an all time low due to the large range of Chinese models now available at much lower prices. I hope Tesla can come up with the right product and pricing.

My big questions are 800v instead of 400v? 48v instead of 12v? Stairing wheel like cybertruck?

Well Model Y vehicles have always been a great vehicle. I have the 2023 Model Y LR AWD vehicle and also has HW4 and newer cameras - I also got the vehicle for the tax credit. I really like the Model Y and all its features. My Model Y also has the Stalks for gear selections and turn signals, which I prefer. I also like the Hatchback style for more storage space than the Model 3 sedan style.
I will keep my current Model Y for a long time, have no need to upgrade.
Good luck if you get the Newer Model Y, you should also enjoy it.

Keep in mind, a 500mi range is maybe 370mi on the highway at 75mph in 40 degree weather.

I don’t expect significant improvements over Model 3. Not that they can’t, but because they want to make it cheap.

Not the first steer by wire car and commercial aircraft have been for 30 years. I think the general tipping point for range is 400 miles. Problem is people are having trouble getting used to range variance on EVs for temperature and driving style and altitude etc. ICE it’s like 10% but on an EV it can be as much as 30-40% reduction for one of those reasons. People will be comfortable with 400 miles because it means guaranteed all weather all driving styles 350 miles of range.

Great Video!
I want to but this car!
But I also think I will wait around 3-6 months after release to see prices come back down and not getting the first batch 😅

Tesla please release CyberVan for ultimate camp mode + spacious 3 row🎉🎉

I think a 500 mile range would tip a lot of people over the edge who have been otherwise holding off.

I’d like to think Tesla will include pretty much all of those system you thought would be left out. The reason for this is that the MY is the cybercab “large” vehicle. If more than 2 people are travelling they need the MY. As such the drive-by-wire, bumper cameras, larger battery, wireless charging etc. Just because the M3 doesn’t have the improvements isn’t necessarily a guide for it not being included on the MY.

I’ll probably pass on Juniper, with losing the tax credit and not getting the 800 V architecture and power share. I’ll wait, especially with the trend and dentistry for lower pricing on EV’s, including lower cost battery packs.
