A liner, a bivvy bag and a mat, plus a bunch of clothes you carry anyways is generally enough for a hot to mild night. Chilly ones might require some more but yeah I bright a lot of layers and I wear thst to sleep. As soon as I can’t sleep anymore I get up and start moving. Go to sleep early, start the day early and stop when it’s too hot to exercise anyways. Works well for touristic hiking and biking

Most should reweight their UL hiking gear and would be surprised at how much it gains and needs a proper strip and not a quick wash.
