I have one that is very similar made by Helko and it is a workhorse. Probably have split close to 6-8 cords with it since I bought it. Mine is on a 28" curved handle and sports a 4.5 lb head. Who needs a maul? I can lay waste to a log pile by hand using that axe alone.

Looking forward to your splitting axe review as that’s the main use for a axe these days for most people.

True Temper and Condor have similar axes like your Adler. I like my Fiskars X27 splitting axe. The X25 would probably be a little better for me. I'm the average 5'9 kind of guy. The X27 is just bigger in length. At the time, I bought it on ebay it was a little cheaper. I just compensate with the 36inch handle, stand back a few feet and go over the shoulder, it works just fine!

Do you have a long term review on this yet please Ben? There are a few different companies that make the same axe - Bahco, Adler, Roughneck etc. It looks a really good splitter?

I have a older Ames brand splitting axe like this with a 3.5lb head and fiberglass and resin handle. Worked great but I really punished that thing. It would be worth getting another one at around $30 US
