Speedmaster 25th Anniversary was my first real entry into luxury watches. It was a wedding gift from my wife and I will keep it as long as I live. It looks great to this day for an almost 30 year old watch. Wife and I have have been together for almost 23 years. :)

Any luxury watch should be something you personally love and want and will wear. Not what other people want, love, and would wear. Biggest mistake I and many other watch lovers make or have made.

The price point of the definition of “luxury” continues to climb apparently. When did an Omega Seamaster or Speedy become an “entry level” piece? I’m sorry but very few people in the world are buying brands like AP, Vacheron, or Patek.

I just purchased the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 41mm. Love this watch! I get so many compliments and its classy and sporty all at the same time. I love the look.

Wife and I were in Miami last weekend and stopped by the Breitling boutique. Picked up a Superocean Herritage 42 with a green dial, and couldn’t be happier. Just now watching this video and I’m happy to learn it made the list. 😊

My current and only luxury watch is the Tudor BB41 with blue dial. I absolutely love it. It does everything that I need it to do. Plus coming in at 3 grand, it didn't break the bank.

Omega Speedmaster Moon Watch
Rolex Explorer
Grand Seiko Snowflake

Good to see these all on this video.

My first self-bought luxury watch is Grand Seiko SBGA211 Snowflake, and I absolutely love it! I wear it more than my Rolex DJ 41. It’s so light and easy to wear for day-to-day activities, and I’ve never felt underdressed on any occasion. I highly recommend any Spring Drive Grand Seiko except their chronographs, which I think looks absolutely hideous😅

Omega is the stand out for me. I’m saving for a Planet Ocean. Not sure if it will be the 39mm or the 43.5 size but I prefer the styling and bracelet over the Seamaster 300. Other watches I like are Glashutte Original’s Sea Q panorama date and Omega’s Speedmaster Racing. I’m really only wanting one stand out watch. The Planet Ocean is my first choice but if the right price could be had on the more expensive Glasshutte Original it might end up being the one. Everything about it says quality to me.

I own a couple of these and I will say this. To any new watch collector looking to make their first luxury purchase. There is no better experience than buying the Seamaster.

From the ornate wooden box, to the shine and glimmer from the ceramic bezel and dial, and the polish of the twisted lugs, the case, the crown guards and the bracelet. You feel the weight. You see and feel where you spent your money. There are many other great watches but let the Seamaster be your first. It blew me away.

Teddy, I think you missed two important brands and watches that fit this category; the JLC Reverso and the Cartier Tank. These are two major time piece series that offer great first luxury options. They carry enormous historical chops, brand credentials, and can be had for less than $7k. Luxury watches don't just equate to divers.

Around $2-3k, I think Breitling offers a lot with the Superocean line. I’m a former Rolex Sub owner, and I would highly recommend the Superocean if you don’t want to deal with the Rolex waitlist nonsense.

I could sell all my watches and be able to get a nice Seiko Springdrive, or Omega Seamaster, or sell about 8 to 10 of them and get a Tudor Black Bay but, I enjoy the 15 watches I now own so much I would be bored with just one watch, or even a couple of watches. When I disregard the brand names, I don't see the value in high priced watches. Great video and I'm sure many people will prefer to have that one expensive brand.

I'm glad you included a Grand Seiko. My first luxury watch is an SBGA413. It's surprisingly robust, and makes for a great daily wearer.Grand Seiko has lots of great entry level models. It's unfortunately probably still true that you have to be deep into watches to consider a Grand Seiko, though I'm a relative noob and I got one.
