Will you please stop putting Rolex on lists of "watches you can buy". If you can't walk into an AD and buy a watch it should never be on a list of "watches you can buy".

Teddy’s chat service team is on point. When buying a Certina the previous month two of his staff members were adamant about getting me the info I needed as well as restocking the specific modeling I was seeking to purchase. Keep up the solid work gentlemen.

Saving up for luxury watches feels impossible these days. Even with a $200K salary, between taxes, my mortgage, and daycare, dropping $50K on a Rolex Daytona or $300K on a Patek Nautilus just isn’t happening.

I just picked up my first ever luxury watch in the turdor burgundy 5 link bracelet. I’m on vacation. I walked into the Tudor store thinking they didn’t have any in stock. To my surprise lo and behold they did and I picked up the watch straight away. I’m very happy with how the watch looks in person.

My first luxury watch is the Hamilton Intra-matic Chrono. Just got it last week. Absolutely love it!

After retiring in 2021, the allure of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual GMT II first drew me to AD's store. I quickly got the Rolex treatment from AD. Instead, I bought two on *amzswiss* . Yes, they are not real Rolexes; but I am happy to know that AD will never get my hard-earned money; I paid less for watches that are worth the money. I neither need AD's "approval" nor will I spend $100, 000 just to be put on a waiting list to buy a new Rolex watch one day. You made a great video; and, I look forward to seeing more of it.

When it comes to making recommendations to people looking to get into this world, I don't actually recommend a specific watch or brand. Rather, I recommend they set themselves a budget of $500.00 or less and get themselves a nice dress watch from Tissot, Citizen, Seiko, Orient, and so forth. Then I recommend they wear it for a while since dress watches in my opinion dress down just fine and see if it is a source of joy for them. If it is, then they can go from there to see how deep they want to go.

If they find that the luxury watch world is not for them it still works out alright since (1) they get their answer, (2) that answer cost them $500.00 or less as opposed thousands, and (3) they have a perfectly wonderful watch to wear for formal occasions such as weddings, interviews, business meetings, and so forth.

I bought a Grand Seiko Skyflake as my first luxury watch from Tokyo as the prices are great with the Japanese yen being so low and foreigners being able to buy the watches tax free. I have been very happy with the purchase.

Just picked up my first "luxury" watch this past week in an Omega Aqua Terra. So happy to have made the plunge after watching hundreds of videos trying to make a decision.

The customer service at Teddy is top notch. Just bought watch from the store and couldn’t be happier with both the watch and the customer service.

My first luxury watch was a TIssot Gentleman on a brown leather strap. Swiss craftmanship, yet still relatively affordable. And it's suitable for both casual days and more formal gatherings. I wear it everywhere. Highly recommended!

Defining what a “luxury watch” is outside of brand name also matters. For 90%+ of the population, a $850-$1, 000 watch is big time luxury.

Let me tell you when I fell in love with my snowflake: when I bought a couple other watches that played a couple other roles and allowed the snowflake to just be itself instead of needing to be everything. I'm not sure a one watch collection is possible because by nature it is us asking for our watch to be everything just like in an unhealthy relationship. My snowflake doesn't need to be dressy and sporty and this and that. It is now just my snowflake and I love it more than I ever did before --now that I have additional watches.

Let's say you came into some extra funds and and bought a luxury watch of say 10k, how much could you sell it for in two years if you needed the cash? Do watches usually go up in value or lose worth over time?

Quartz Omega SMP 300 was my first luxury watch. It was more affordable than the auto version which was a big plus. 17 years later and it’s still going strong in my collection. ❤

Mine was BB58 blue. Still much loved and one I’ll keep forever.

8:47 "Wabi Sabi" is what you are looking for and the dial really is perfect through its imperfection.
