Is the Fuji X100VI the perfect camera for you?

Is the Fui X100VI the perfect camera? It might be if you're not tempted by extra accessories or add-ons. The challenge is one you add the teleconverter or wide angle it adds a significant cost to the camera, in which case you might want to consider an XT-5 or XH2

Finally someone said it!! I love that there is some hype around this brand. But it’s on this camera for the wrong reasons. All those influencers really need the xs20 or like you said the xt5.

Understand why you said XT5 but the people who wants x100 the alternative should be XE or XPRO models.

Digital zoom. Really just in camera crop but this is given you a 35mm..50mm and a 75mm look and with the tele converter it gives you the 50mm but takes you up to 100mm. I know it’s just in body crop but the whole point of this camera is the fun of creating your own jpegs and not spending hrs editing afterwards so this digital zoom adds the the finished image experience. This is such a break from shooting to edit and allows you to just have fun and try things. Then just put the camera in the pocket keep trucking 🥳🥳 love my x100v and that’s coming from a wedding shooter with a9’s, a73’s and other fujis like the xt4, xt10, Xt2. It’s the camera I just want with me all the time.

I got the x100 from a family member and it is so nice and classic. Of course the autofocus is not the best, but the size, the viewfinder and just the feeling is so incredible. I don’t know if I should sell it or add to my collection.

I had a X-T4 and recently switched over to X100VI. I am mainly a hobbyist, and I almost exclusively used XF27mm with X-T4. With the new 40MP sensor if I want more zoomed in picture, I can just use digital teleconverter or crop in later. Smaller and prettier (in my opinion) X100VI wins by long shot for me. I already took more photos with X100VI in a month I had this camera than I ever took with X-T4 that I had for more than a year.

Having a true interchangeable camera is more versatile, but those small lens adapters as a set with the X100VI is such a travel powerhouse. Pricey, but so portable.

I wish this exact rangefinder body offered interchangeable lens. XPRO 3 is the closest one but it doesn't have a built in flash.

yeah because X lenses are cheaper than the x100v accesories 👍🏻 the closest we have to the x100vi is the 27mm f2.8 and it cost around $340, and the x-t5 costs $1700… And you still have to buy more lenses. For me, the x100vi is more compact, lightweight and i din’t have to worry about anything, just to compose correctly. Also, you can use the digital teleconverter and with 40 MP it is great.

The x100 IV is essentially a $1100 x-pro body with a fixed $500 lens. It's a wild bargain for what it is.

The X Pro is a $2000 body and the X-T5 is a $1700 body.

Considering the price and size the xt50 would be a better substitute for the x100vi. Xt5 becomes much more expensive when you add a prime.

X100vi has a leaf shutter, an OVF, a built in ND filter, a more compact package with the built in lens. The built in 23mm lens is sharper than the xf23mm f2. Looks are subjective but x100vi is quite a looker.

I wouldn’t use neither of them in a studio where my a7r3 from 2017 arguably performs better.

xpro is a closer alternative. xt5 if you're chasing for more film sims.
also, $300 is not cheap for a converter lens

Sadly...no xpro 4 for a couple of years yet and xpro 3 is almost impossible to find. I would had said that is a better option

XE4 probably a more logical upgrade from the x100 series. Follows the same lineage and camera philosophy
