I would recommend also dotting one of the ends of the floss with a permanent marker to indicate where exactly the tape went over the floss in case they try to re-tape the floss back. Just make sure the dots are spaced and remember which number dot corresponds to which door. At least 5 dots is fine, but adding more increases the odds of the intruder guessing correctly.

SOLVED:
Make a small sasuage of blue tac or white tac, put it right into the corner of the door frame on the side of the hinges where the door opens outwards(on the outside of your room or the door you want chech) Press it down firmly so the ends of the blue tac are flat and have a tight seal against the door. When you push the door open it will soundlessly stretch the blue tac. All you have to do is see if the blue tac has changed shape when you come back to your room.

Just take a small piece of THREAD put it in the door jam near the floor and close the door. When the door opened it will fall on the floor easy peasy.

Qith all these type of suggestions: they'd never be guaranteed bcz someone who opens it would just put the item (fishing line, tape, etc., ) right back where it was and u would still never know.

Just use the clear tape at the bottom of your door. If someone’s goes in your room the tape will no longer be attached to one end or will have been ripped in half.

I recently bought special LEGO replacement parts for things I build and have sorted them into separate bins. My 14 year old younger brother now has a bin he can bring into his room and use whenever. But I used the micro gap trick on my special parts bins and found that he secretly comes and looks through them. So now I need to set up some more booby traps to know if he comes through when I’m not at the house. Any suggestions? 😆😂

Just close the door and put a tiny peace of paper between.İt will be on the floor if someone opens it.Or you can exactly memorize where you put the paper so you still know if they put it back
