As a mixed kid, I never looked at the screen (in anything) thinking "that's my guy, that's like me up there." Literally ever once. Who cares!?! I can resonate with any character I feel a connection to, regardless of color. These people are the REAL racists. They see a lore their not directly represented in and hijack it for diversity sake (not to make a better story). What if we did this to every culture? What's next? Gonna hijack the next Chinese fantasy film to include Black people? It makes no sense.

The female dwarf and the elf of color are so narcissistic. They truly believe that they were saving people's lives. Makes me sick.
When I watched LOTR the skin color of the characters never crossed my mind. I felt very much represented by the dwarfs or the hobbits. They didn't need to be Asian for me to relate.

As an Asian man, I have to give this show a 1/10 because the show should have been at least 20% Asian to reflect real world populations. I am offended and outraged at this omission. How will we stop racism if we don't have Asian elves?
