The creators have made it too obvious with all these hints. Anyway, we'll see if they reveal it in the season finale.

Imagine some random dude buying that sword not knowing it was forged by Sauron himself 😂

00:35 That dude owns a bonafide Sauron crafted sword, should sell it in 50 years.

Man I was rooting for Halbrand to be the lost king of the Southlands just like Aragorn was to Gondor... "I was deceived by a lie, we all were! Halbrand is the sith lord we've been looking for." Oops, wrong series.

They made him better looking with every episode, that was a major hint for me.

I for one welcome our dark lord sauron.

And if only Galadriel had, even once, said to him "yes, fair enough, right, I'll leave you to it, bye" then none of this would have happened and Sauron would have lived out the rest of his days peacefully as Halbrand the smith and master craftsman, making beautiful items out of metal on Numenor.
Sure the orcs have the newly created Mordor, but under Adar they are not really interested in world domination, so they settle down and ultimately become somewhat civilized and decent, maybe even discover toothbrushes.

This series made me like Sauron, the actor did a great job with that script.

Fun fact: Sauron is such a good blacksmith because, as Mairon the Admirable (his name as a Maiar before he joined Morgoth), he was taught by Aule the Smith, a Valar who created the dwarven race.

The blade the Sauron forged as Halbrand has got to be some wicked ass gear.

Did anyone catch Halbrand's line in ep. 8 "call it a gift" when imparting Celebrimbor with knowledge about crafting with mythril? I'm no expert but suspect that's a deliberate hat tip to the canon storyline where Sauron was not disguised as a Man called Halbrand, but an Elf called Annatar, the "Lord of Gifts" who successfully deceived Celebrimbor into forging the rings of power.

I now just want to see an alternate reality where Galadriel did join Sauron and become his bride.

Finally we get Sauron as a character and not an eye on top of the tower.

It was so obvious and honestly I don’t fault the show because the actor is doing one of the few good performances and really selling that halbrand has done some crazy shit and is very ruthless. However from what I know galdriel and Elrond distrusted sauron from the very beginning when he tried to deceive them and they were the few elves that didn’t buy into his bs.

Who else is rooting for Sauron in this show?

I would also add the scene in the tavern in Numenor, where all the numenorians seemed pretty hostile towards him at first but he made everyone like him within a few minutes. That's where I suspected his true identity for the first time

"An expert blacksmith" is rather modest for a Maiar of Aule, the Smith of the Valar.

So many people bash this show for the lore or whatever but if you just indulge it as more LOTR content it is just so so good

The confirmation for me was him giving advice and calling it a "Gift".

The biggest giveaway is when he was asked his name, he responds ''Depends on how close we are''

Gave me Chills when Sauron returned to Mt. Doom and said: "It's Mordor Time!"
