A Blessed Sabbath day to you Brother Mark. I am curious as to what we as an anti- trinity group think about ever being able to restore the denominated name “Seventh Day Adventist” back to us. Do we need a name? I know the Pioneers did not particularly want a denomination or a name, but in order to organize around the world they had to take a name. It is my thought that our doctrine should be what identifies us. My question stems from our ongoing battle with the ones who stole the name, and are running it in to the ground. Individually we can say, I am a Historical Seventh Day Adventist, but as a group worldwide many groups are taking many different names, it sounds like confusion to me. What do you think my Brother? I can’t get the thought out of my mind that the corporate organization is taking up way to much of our time, and that we need to turn them over to their father, and then get on with study and ongoing conversion. John 1:1-29; 10:30; says God and Jesus Christ are one. And in John 14-16 Jesus said the Holy Spirit comes from both the father and himself. The New Testament teaches God is one revealed as three persons, God the father, son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit. This has been orthodox Christian teaching since the church Council of Chalcedon in AD 325. The presenter in this video is taking a semi-Arian position that only God the father and the son is God but the Holy Spirit is only God's influence, not a person, this was a position held by some SDA pioneers as James White, Uriah Smith and others. They were wrong. The Arian teaching is wrong and was defeated in AD 325. The presenter in this video is therefore wrong in his view about God.
