Finding #NEW #urban #agriculture #spaces in #Manila 🪴🌶🥭 @ UP Diliman

Aside from being a wonderful green space to go and hang out in anytime, the #University of the #Philippines, #Diliman campus plays host to a wide variety of native and imported #plants and #trees.

To be honest for us, it’s a real breath of fresh air to visit a space where you are not perpetually surrounded by #concrete buildings and #noise.
Best of all there’s no #entrance fee and you can #walk around, #exercise, cycle, bring a #picnic and enjoy with friends, #eat at some of the small shops on campus or play #sports on some of the open areas there.

As we were wandering around, we found a new urban agriculture #space being set up behind the music department near Landbank that’s being set up to #train young people with #skills in the practice of #urban #agriculture - this space is run by the Civil Welfare Training Service.
Definitely worth a #visit if you’re interested to see the different aspects that make up an #integrated #natural urban agriculture system. 🪴👍
