Here's how to get them wider without killing your track with a stereo width plugin ❌

Grab a Mid/Side EQ like the FabFilter Pro Q3

Select a band at 2.5k

Lift the band in dynamic mode by 1dB

Make sure you have the stereo placement in the sides only

Now when you play the track, All the effects will sound wider

Whilst keeping the bass & the very highs the same 👌🏻

Come on Streaky!! You have clearly created more questions than answers here!! LOL!!! So is the Pro Q3 on the vox buss or an aux buss; or...on the mix buss???

Where do I apply that eq? Only on the efects? or should I apply it on the vocal bus?

I just placed this as the last plugin in the Vocal channel FX bin. And honestly couldn't see any difference at all (even with extreme settings). @Streaky could you please say more about exactly where this should be placed please? PS I usually have the lead vocal in mono in its own track, so perhaps the intention is to send this to a stereo bus, I'm just not sure!

On "after, " the EQ didnt appear to be processing, and was actually moving dynamical on "before"...is the audio comparison synced with this error?

i wonder could i do this with 2 extra voices with channel strippers for each 1 with highs and lows 1 with mids only then place nova on it at dynamic mode lol Maybe split the mids into 2 and set 1 to left only and one to right
