When i started mixing i used to cut too heavily at the low end of the vocals - i've found a mixture of low-mids cutting & the "mud" region of 200-400hz to be a better solution. as well as some multiband compression, subtle stereo imaging and a touch of waves doubler all help give vocals that full sound. nice video!

This is great. I have no damn idea why I never thought about this... My vocals sometimes have that thin / tinny sound, depending on the song. I'm certain this is the issue.
