I used to work on Cap 2 from late 2017 until july of last year. For me, the job depends on who's around. If you have a good supervisor and good coworkers, it'll make the job a lot easier. If you do sign up for cap 2, the busiest times of the year are holidays or two truck days. If you dont have a good team on the truck for those two truck days or not enough people, then its gonna be a lot harder (especially if you dont have an electric conveyor).

At the walmart where I worked. we had a team unload the truck, and the other half stocked the groceries that already came in on pallets earlier in the day. If it's one truck, its usually done by the first break. After that we stocked the freight that came off the truck and Continue stocking freight that was already there if it wasn't done yet until lunch. After that a few people would pull pallets that were loaded from the truck to the appropriate sections of the store while everyone else stocked. I was usually in grocery and sometimes in paper and chemicals.

It was mostly chill after lunch. From lunch until we left was my favorite part of the day because most people are stocking their aisles and there would always be interesting stories about our interactions with customers.

I left because of supervisors I didn't like and I didn't like doing the truck every day. Oh yeah, expect a minimum of one truck every day. Just thought I should throw my two cents in. If I forget to add anything I'll edit this comment. If you have any questions about Cap 2 then just ask.

Edit: Making a new (cardboard) bale is easy once you learn it.

Cap 2 is critical for the success of Walmart. If they fail to complete all consumables and pull the entire backroom then every shift after that struggles to catch up and the cycle repeats. It’s hard ass work if your store sells a lot.

I've been doing this for 3 months and I love it. We still have the push line but we're kinda respected for our work ethic

I worked in CAP 2 for 11 months, recently got fired in November. This video sums it up pretty well. The line in the video is rather new though. Our store had the push line where one person would push freight, one would throw the truck, and the rest world get freight onto the pallets/top stock carts. The biggest issues I had was unrealistic times for certain aisles/sections, and terrible shift leads. We had 4 different leads in the span I was employed. The other workers you get are usually great, but as described in the video, CAP 2 is treated poorly, even though we were the backbone of the store. Mostly since some of CAP 1 (who didn't do much at our store) or CAP 2 were plugging, which is when you put certain items in incorrect spots. You'll find it more often in vegetables, soup, and canned fruit. Overall, it was okay, but extremely boring and with the terrible management/customers that would ask the stupidest things, I was so happy once I didn't have to work there again.

I just got hired for CAP2. I didn't even have an interview, they just called and said you got the job. Red flag #1, lol.

Edit: People are still replying to this so I just wanted to let y'all know that I quit after 2 weeks and went back to Target. Best decision ever. Cap 2 was hell at my store and the managers were assholes. Best of luck to the rest of y'all.

I'm shocked you made it out there without any customers pestering you. They're usually dumb as hell and bother you a lot while you're working. "Do you have this?" "It says on my phone you have this at your store!" "Can you check in the back?" "Where's the bathroom?" "Can you help me in Electronics? (Which is on the other side of the store)" etc.

I went for an interview. I dont know if they expect you to just figure it out or if someone trains you or what. Manager is on the employees asses all day. Idk if I should take the job or not.

Cap 2 is super easy at my store cause we have alot of people working. I rarely have to do truck because we have alot of people who are younger and better shape do truck

After my first day of Cap 2 I can say it IS as simple, but not as easy as it seems. Unloading a truck and moving freight for 8 hours is really difficult
