I did this right out of high school for almost 2 years in the Florida heat. It was terrible for the pay. Seeing the comments about "I see the wall" and "how many panels left" brought back alot of memories.

Did this at lowes, cool co workers and we were short staffed all the time. The asm always coming back there and saying you ain't done work harder. One day the asm was told by manager to help out cause it was only 2 guys unloading a 1500unit truck. Since he didnt know where to put the merchandise on pallets we told him to work the truck. Not even halfway threw the truck his shirt was drenched in sweat he was dehydrated and said literally "time out in tired". We were telling him sarcastically why what's wrong you got this, this is easy right. After that one day he never ever said to us why isn't the truck not finished. That was the most satisfying moment at lowes, seeing him rot in the truck after he talked so much crap to us before.

Wow, those are the best looking breakpack boxes I have EVER seen. Must be nice to get -any- that aren't crushed

I like how it looks like everyone showed up to help when they were about done...

I remember those days. So glad I'm self-employed now and don't have to put up with that shit anymore

This is how fast they expect you to get it done. This may not even be sped up.

My CAP2 team literally gets shit on by overnight teams and other departments complaining saying "we should pull our weight", even though we go through this shit every day and our team is short staffed majority of the week. The job wouldn't be half bad if we were more appreciated and paid more for real 💯

This is absolutely my favorite part of the job. I liked it better with just rollers instead of the stupid fast unloader. I love unlaoding trucks.

Where’s all of the waterlogged boxes, crumbled break packs, spilled paint and laundry detergent, remix and FDD showing up in the middle of it? I work in a D1 with a tiny back room. If remix or FDD show up in the middle of GM truck we have to pull pallets to the floor just to unload the remix or FDD. If our truck is too big we end up with narrow 8 inch paths to hobble down to drop off boxes.

Former 4-1 IMS here, this job is no joke. Definitely deserve more pay than other positions.

I don't usually do this but I've unloaded twice at my job. And both times I was with someone. Never thought I could ever sweat as much as I did in my life.

Been doing this for 5 years at the home depot. And there are way more pallets to deal with on our trucks. Trucks range from 500 cartons to 3000 cartons. With an average truck around 1300, sometimes 8-10 trucks a week during busy season. And never stacked well. We get to blast music and easily get done in a hour /hour 20.

If these guys can unload the truck in 2 and a half mintues then there's no reason cap 2 can't be done by 4 lmao

How many hours do they expect you guys to finish this type of truck? In Home Depot it’s 2 hours

I’ve worked at Home Depot for 3 years as a freight associate. I’ve seen it all. Unloads can be a pain in the butt when we’re understaffed because either associates call in or quit. But it goes so much smoother when you have a full team in the unloads. And when half the truck is nothing but small boxes, it can get really annoying because we have to use totes to put the small boxes in there so it won’t get stuck in the conveyer. But yes seeing the wall is such a relief it’s insane but at the end of the day it’s all mental bc it can get to your head depending on the piece count and automatically your mood changes.
