The ultimate lunch hack for someone single. Make a dinner for two and take the leftovers to work

I think a lot of people confuse what they're feeling as a lack of energy when it's actually a lack of motivation.

I'll give her props. She did not cry during that episode.
Caleb was pretty harsh but she took the criticism better than expected.

I won't call this girl a brat. She just looks a little depressed.

I want a spin off where we get to see Caleb get a personal trainer and he yells @ Caleb for any bad food choices.

Despite her excuses I like this guest more than others. She actually does grocery shop and knows that meal prepping is a good way to save money

I’m sure she can’t read all the comments but suggestions I’d have for her:

1) look into getting a roommate
2) new job that pays more
3) she obviously likes dogs — dog walking/sitting is so lucrative and it doesn’t feel like work. It also is something you can do when you have time to do it (very flexible)
4) take some free online career assessments. You seem like you just don’t have a clear direction of what you wanna do/where you wanna go right now. Once you figure that out I think it would help you a lot.

Wishing you the best. You have so much potential and your whole life ahead of you!

As a father of 2 daughters this episode broke me. We have to educate our children better. Father failed his daughter and she has no one to turn to :/

This ep mainly just made me sad - When i look at this girl, I see someone who doesn’t have clear goals/aspirations and nothing to really look forward to in the near future. I think her feeling exhausted is due to lack of motivation & feeling like her work won’t have real meaning or purpose. I don’t know how exactly to help her, but I don’t think the “suck it up and grind” approach will be effective long-term in her situation. She needs a motivating dream to spark a passion in her

I like her. She’s not an entitled brat, she just feels stuck and hopeless. She has a TV antennae instead of internet for goodness sake.

I love how she said her parents don’t help her at all but she’s still on her parents insurance and her dad pays her phone bill. Like what???

As a Dutch person, the idea of working two fulltime jobs is crazy to me. We are literally not allowed to work more than 55 hours a week for longer periods, with a max of 12 hour per day. If we do work more, our employers would be fined. And even if possible, everyone would call you crazy for doing so and bet that you'll have a burnout in no time. With the way our taxes work, it's sometimes more cost efficient to work less hours. I feel bad that in the US working two full time jobs is normalised/glamourised. Take care of yourself

This isn’t an excuse for her. But she sounds depressed. She sounds like she gave up and has accepted her life is going to suck. Someone her age should not be saying things are exhausting that often.

i feel like she is describing depression and it genuinely can be hard to go to the grocery store when you’re exhausted from mental health :(

Feel bad for guests like this, seems like they have a good heart. They aren’t doing anything necessarily dumb just being loyal to a job they should not be in and falling behind. They aren’t like others trying to live lavishly. they just haven’t found a job they can live off of. Her life style should not be hard to achieve easily.

Blows my mind that people "have" to get a second job. Denmark just implemented a ban on working more than 45h a week, everyone has to register daily their working hours. The usual working week is 37h here. The fact that you cant live on that in the US is insane.

Anxiety sufferer here, and this might get buried, but I totally recognize the symptoms she's showing. Lack of motivation/direction, not being able to go to certain stores, feeling paralized with simple tasks like making a phone call, etc.. I have general anxiety that ramped up 1000%, bordering panic disorder, when I was struggling in college courses while starting a new job that I felt unqualified for. The anxiety made my impostor syndrome worse in school AND work, and once I got on anxiety medication, I felt like I was back to my old self. No more surges of anxiety, constant tapping or other tics, able to tackle problems head on. I still suffer from it to a smaller degree, but I just wanted to comment that if she's suffering from anxiety or panic, get that under control first!

HEB manager here! We do charge more for items ordered through curbside. That’s how it is profitable since we don’t charge for curbside pick up!

I want to see an update from Olivia!! I feel like she’ll have more energy and motivation when she starts having little wins (new job, empowering budget, new independence…)

Babysitting. Basically all your hours are clocked after 5 PM. You play with the kids and give them some pizza, put them down at 8 PM, and then get paid to watch Netflix and eat some snacks. Easiest job ever.
