BEST HOT DOGS IN OHIO! - Top 10 MUST EAT Hot Dog joints in Ohio

We have been on a mission the last couple years and that mission is to find the greatest must eat hot dogs and the best hot dog joints in the state. We are always on the move and anytime we heard of a Must Try hot dog place in the area we visited, we just had to check it out.
So here is our top 10 list of best hot dogs in the state of Ohio...
10. Senate - Blue Ash- These guys are purveyors of great street food. Food and Wine Magazine has named them "The Best Hotdog in America" several years in a row. They have such wonderful and creative dogs like the Korean Dog toped with their homemade kimchi, their croque monsieur top with béchamel and fried egg.
9. Hot Dog Shoppe = Warren, Ohio = This is a long running old school fast food joint. They serve a cheap and yummy dog on a warm steamed bun.
8. Dan's Dogs Hot Dog Eatery and Diner - Medina, Ohio - A festive place featuring 1950's style decor, juke boxes at every table and the best root beer floats and shakes. Their hotdogs have a wide array of garnishes.
7. Dirty Franks Hot Dog Palace - Columbus, Ohio - Dirty Franks serves Vienna Beef franks with a large amount of toppings to choose from. It's a cool hang out spot with a fantastic bar and drink list.
6. Tony Packo's Toledo, Ohio - Tony Packo's has been serving authentic Hungarian food since 1932. Tony's is best known for their signature chili hot dogs and their restaurant filled with hot dog buns signed by famous people.
5. Jib Jab Hot Dog Shoppe in Girard, Ohio - This is a low key hot dog shop with counter service eating. A Jib Jab dog is everything a dog should be delicious and cheap.
4. Mad Dogs and Beer in Marysville, Ohio - All beef dogs served on a brioche bun served with crazy toppings.
3. Scooter's World Famous Dawg House in Mentor, Ohio - Scooter's is just minutes away from Mentor Headlands Beach on Lake Erie, so being a beach place that makes this a seasonal hot dog joint. It is truly one on the best hot dogs in Ohio.
2. Eli's BBQ in Cincinnati, Ohio - This is a fantastic BBQ joint. So good that most people don't even realize they serve hot dogs and not just any hot dogs but one of the best dogs we've ever eaten. The hot dog spends a little time in the smoker and then is dipped in the fryer topped with slaw, BBQ and pork crumbs.
Before getting to our number 1 here are the honorable mentions. Once a year Ohioans flock the The Great Geauga County Fair the largest and oldest fair in Ohio and while there you must treat yourself to a corndog.
Next on or list is getting a hotdog at the stadium, Progressive Field. Are you even really from Ohio if you haven't had a dog slathered in Bertman's Stadium Mustard while taking in and Indians Game.
1. Happy Dog in Cleveland, Ohio - Happy Dog is a cool neighborhood corner bar and its a bit of a dive, and I mean that in the very best way. This place feels like home. Their hot dogs are their own secret recipe and made local. They have over 50 gourmet toppings to choose from. They have the regular toppings you would expect like slaw, mustard, ketchup... but they also have the bizarre like Fruit Loops, Spaghetti O's, Peanut Butter, Flaming Hot Cheeto's and more.
