Have you ever needed to sort Excel data in a specific order other than alphabetical, Ascending/Descending? For example, if you have a list of clothing inventory and you want to sort the list by size. Alphabetical, Ascending sort would sort sizes with LARGE first, not X-SMALL.

This is very different for Mac users for some reason. And not in the Excel Tabs.

This is the instruction for Mac:

On the Excel menu, click Preferences, and then under Formulas and Lists, click Custom Lists .

Click Add.

Type the values for your list in the order that you want them sorted, with a comma between each value.

When you are finished, click Add, and then close the Custom Lists box.
