Woman power!!! I am a 62 year old mother of three and lost my job at the hospital. Luckily, I save enough money to build a small house that I could rent it out for Airbnb. My contractor did not show up for a month to finish his work in my small house and I was desperate to have the small house rented out so I installed the laminate floors myself. I watched other youtube videos and I wished I watched this channel first before I did the installation...I should have bought all those tools that you used. Now, I have to watch your channel how to trim windows! Keep up the good work! BTW, I love the way you screwed the board and unscrew it to remove the gap on the board. What a great tip! NO ONE would sand the floor, but you did and you are RIGHT for doing so! You guys used all the tricks I learned when I did my own floor. I had AutoCAD at my disposal, I drew up a layout ahead of time so I didn't have any orphans on any side and could layout all the planks. Next time you do this type of floor and want a drawing, hit me up! Great always!

In the "big freeze of 2021, a pipe in my house burst, and I had two bedrooms and a hallway flooded. As odd as this sounds, we were lucky to have just gotten back to the house. I hollered at my wife to fill up the bathtubs (pro-tip - if you have water you can both drink it as needed, but also fill up the tanks in the toilet and flush it!) In the end, my wife insisted, wisely, that we not replace the carpet with more carpet, but rather the laminate flooring as you have done. It took me a few tries to figure out "straight" cuts through a hallway at 23 1/2 degrees to two doorways into bedrooms, but paper templates ended up saving the day!
