Here is an Easy fix for a gap in laminate flooring using some duct tape.

just stick some to the board and give it a little kick.

I have bought suction cups & different tools to fix the gaps. For months I have been unsuccessful and was about to call a flooring company that I am sure was going to cost a pretty penny. But it opened up at the other end so rinse and repeat all the way to the wall where it will be under that baseboard for a couple of seasons before it comes back to the center of the room.

If you put duct tape, the laminated board would move to the intended direction, but a gap would show opposite direction, wouldn't it ?

You need to glue it as well, otherwise it’ll just open up again as the laminate plank will move with wear … it hasn’t been installed properly…

Little glue in the joint will help otherwise you're going back every year

I just use the shoe. Works every time. Then come back later and fix the plank at the end so it won't happen again.

No need for the tape. Works just as fine without it.

mine surprisingly didn't have the gap on the other end... but i understand if i did, I'd have to go till the base board covers it

Why do the boards do this in the first place? Every install of laminate flooring that we’ve had done in our house has done this at some point in time.
