It's funny how many good female historical portrayals are in this show considering its so innacurate.
This scene was very cool I wish it had lasted longer. Christina of Milan was very smart to refuse Henry in a feigned polite way.

Christina of Milan was born a Danish princess and her uncle was the emperor of Spain. In 1527 Thomas Wolsey suggested Christina married King Henry's illegitimate son Henry Fitzroy, but the offer was declined. Later in 1537 after Christina's first husband died, it was suggested that she married King Henry and Hans Holbein painted her portrait while she was still wearing mourning clothes. Christina was at that time sixteen years old. In 1541, Christina married her second husband, the duke of Lorraine who had previously been betrothed to Anne of Cleves, who became King Henry's fourth wife.

Also, it was a pretty huge deal for Christina to call the woman, who replaced her great-aunt on the English throne, innocent. It shows just how many people truly saw through all of Henry's lies. (7/10/2022)
