Out of all his wives Anne got the last laugh her daughter was one of the greatest monarchs in history
and Elizabeth was the least favoured child

This was Anne's ultimate revenge from beyond the grave. That her daughter went on to be one of the greatest monarchs the world has ever known. Henry was a fool. I wish he could've seen what became of Elizabeth. Hopefully he did witness it from the other side.

The fact that the daughter he completely neglected and emotionally mistreated became one of the most brilliant and influential monarch of their kingdom is so beautifully ironic and the fact that she willingly decided to remain childless because of the shit he put her through is poetic justice! His child, Elizabeth, the powerful female monarch decided to extinct his line once and for all. You can't make that shit up!

The way Anne smirked and nodded her head as she turned away was such a beautiful embodiment of acknowledging so much senseless loss and saying “such a pitty” without uttering a word. So elegantly tragic… She is my favourite portrayal Anne Boleyn.

I have many issues with this show, but I am so glad it gave the women their last words in honesty instead of their usual words of Henry. And I LOVE that Jane gets to tell Henry that all his fighting for his “dynasty” will still fail.

It's the way both Mary and Elizabeth, the two children Henry DIDN'T want were the Tudor successors that were ultimately remembered, even if Mary's wasn't for quite a good reason. Goes to show that there was a price for Henry's mistreatment of his wives. The universe really told him: "Mistreating women, ay? Fine, let's see how you like it once your wives and their daughters will be more remembered than you ever thought they would be." It's poetic.

"My poor boy...My poor child." The crack and strain from Jane's emotions in her voice hits hard, especially since she loves her son so much.

"But I was still your wife in God's eyes, and still am." "All the accusations against me were false, I thought you knew. -but we were like two moths drawn to the flame, and burned." "Kings too are made of clay, and God forbid you locked him away from the world like your father did with you." those lines hit hard

Damn, they surely are friends in the after life.

the ghost of catherine howard was really necessary in this chapter because she could remind henry that he committed adultery many times while married to his wives

I always found it ironic that in Henry’s quest for a son and heir that his daughters are more well known and his son is barely more than a footnote.

I love seeing King Asshole the Eighth's first three wives rip him a new one. And when Anne Boleyn brings up Catherine Howard, he is so wounded that he can't look at her. As she turns away, she smirks, because she knew she hit him where it HURT.

Henry standing there thinking Jane would be happy to see him and then she GETS his ass, AS SHE SHOULD

I love all of the little details in this scene, the way Anne gets the last smirk, and the way that Jane is the only one that takes her child with her when she walks away because he will soon join her. Absolutely beautiful

I love how even Jane is roasting Henry for the shit he’s pulled his entire life. Henry was truly alone by the end of his life and he deserved it.
