In this short video we test some brand new nozzles for Bosch injectors on the Unimog motor. We have 6 new brand new injectors, and 6 old ones and were replacing the 125hp nozzles with the 180hp+ nozzles. After testing the crack off pressure, we replaced the nozzles and were surprised to find very poor spray patterns from some of the new nozzles.

The difference between a good nozzle and a bad one is pretty easy to see, and these were all brand new nozzles. In the end we tested over 20 nozzles to get two sets of good ones.

having problems with a low pressure bosch nozzles.
well first of, getting a proper opening pressure reading is almost hopeless. the injectors are meant to open at 135 bar. if i want i can make it pop at 80 bar. if i continously spray then i can get it higher. so i decided to use the maximum pressure it pops at for the adjustment. but the injectors spraied so much differently that engine was barking when it got warm. pulled them down and adjusted them to spray more or less similarly by ear which got rid of the barking for now but pretty sure it's gonna be back soon. but ye, the quality of any vehicle parts is absolute shit these days.
