I'm trying to understand direct proof vs contradiction. Is this a direct proof because of the variables being used to prove are assumed from the provided statement (using two odd numbers)? ex. a = 2m + 1 and b = 2n +1

Opposed to using two even numbers ex.a = 2m b =2n for a contradiction proof.
