Nvidia RTX 5090 is Wild - Blackwell Specs & Release Date
According to new leaks Nvidia will be releasing either an RTX 50 TITAN or RTX 5090 GPU by the end of the year (2024) which should be bringing the largest jump in GPU history. This will be followed shortly afterwards in 2025 by the RTX 5080, RTX 5070, and RTX 5060 GPUs.

MCM really is the future for chipmakers. I THINK that’s where the 5090 is gonna pull its performance uplift. I wouldn’t be surprised if the 5090 is a 2 or 4 chiplet design.

Lets say a modest 20% uplift from the node is all they get... It can still be 2 to 2.5x 4090 performance at 600watts. Take a 4090 and undervolt it to 300watt(or maybe a lil more idk how well it undervolts) then double that performance and power for a 1.7-1.8x 4090 performance at 600watt. Add in the 20% node and you have 2.2x. MCM allows for you to maximize your performance per watt but with monolothic you are required to maximize your performance per die space throwing efficencty the window.

The 4090 was important for VR sim players, and the 5090s advancement will be an even more important card for performance and pushing the boundaries of VR.
