Look, the 5090 will not be released this year and the 5080 will be released in a state where it is cut down so that it passes the embargo criteria to sell to the Chinese Government/Military.

There will be barely any gaming performance gain in the bare hardware compared to the 40 Series - and they will try to obsolete the 40 series with DLSS 4.0 which will only run on the 50 Series to make exhorbitant claims about their new card.

The main reason why the 40 Series was so much better than the 30 Series is because Nvidia went on a cutting edge TSMC node for the 40 Series as opposed to the craptastic Samsung node they used for the 30 Series - and then of course kicked their own audience in the nuts, by making DLSS 3.0 exclusive to the 40 Series.

Unfortunately the 5080 won't be that powerful due to the Chinese government restriction. The 5080 will be a 4090D level of performance.

Thanks for the NVIDIA update. I hope this time NVIDIA will bring out the 5070 with the 5080 and 5090.Let's all hope that the GPU's will not be over $1k for them, but you know it will.
