How to Tie Single Strand Diamond Knot; Celtic Button Knot; Turks Head Knot or Chinese Button Knot
I am not sure of the exact name of this knot, but it would appear to have the following names: Diamond Knot; Celtic Button Knot; Turks Head Knot or Chinese Button Knot. This is a great little symmetrical stopper knot that can be placed in the ends of lanyards or as additional decoration in an ongoing piece of work.

Well done.
I started to go to sea on merchant ships in ‘68, having just turned 18.
There were some old sailors that tied fancy knots (not macramé but knots of the Mayflower mariner, as I was reprimanded). They were willing to teach me. I spent long days at sea making belts, plant hangings, wall hangings, bell cords, etc.
These old sailors vanished. I haven’t made anything for some time now save for an occasional knot to spruce something up. I’ve packed around Ashley’s book of knots just in case I get back into it. Your videos are very well done. Thank you for preserving the art of knot tying.

I've a lot of time in my hands. I've seen most of the blokes teaching knots. You're the best. By several lengths. Thank you.

Even a 72 year old, arthritic like me can follow your instructions! Thank you.

I like how you used the large sized rope for the demonstration. It made it a lot easier to follow.

Great walk through. Never saw the button with 2 strands was a 4x3 turks head with a single strand. Well done indeed.

VERY GOOD PRESENTATION.
Easy to follow.
Occasionally you should say...
"ah Shux"
"Bless her heart"
"Dad burn it"
"Well Heck"
"Y'all come on in"
"Got in the pick up"

Thank you again, Johnny. I have been telling all the WB peeps about your knots. Hopefully you are getting some attention :) Down to the last bit of the whip I used your ring bolt hitch on. :)

So just snip the end that comes out rhe botttom is how you got rid of. It?

I supposed one can just push that slack all fhe way back so the end is inside the knot to make it look cleaner.

Did I miss the part where you show how to tie a Chinese Button Knot into the end of a line?
