This video is so helpful! I want to make sure I'm prepared for baby but also I'm a minimalist so I don't want tons of baby clutter. Theses are great tips!

A tip for shifts- you have the right idea for baby #2! We have found it works really well for me to get up with the babies to breastfeed and let my husband sleep.. because him being well rested makes him so helpful during the day. I got to nap while baby napped, he would make me food, do things around the house, and then help with our older boy when we had baby #2. Then he would do some skin to skin for bonding. I know many people feel like the night time shifts should be shared, but this worked out really well for us!

I’m currently 40 weeks and 4 days pregnant with my first baby! Watching this gave me some reassurance on certain things ❤️ Praying for a healthy delivery 🙏

This is so very helpful especially for first time moms. Knowing what’s essential to buy and what’s not. I’ve been told by many experience moms that baby actually really need very little items and not much. This also helps keeps things very simple and not be overwhelmed by it!

26 year old mom of 3 here 👋 my biggest tip for doing feeding shifts is to either have hubby take baby for first shift of the night, immediately following a feed (usually around 8-9pm) and go to bed early for a couple/few hours, he can stay up with baby until 10/11 and then bring baby to you. Alternately, if you prefer to sleep in he can take baby immediately after a feed early in the morning, around 5/6 and you can sleep in a couple more hours! This makes it so you get a few good quality hours of sleep every night but you don’t have to pump! And he gets to sleep through the night while you handle feeds. That’s what has worked for us! Best of luck 🫶❤

The best thing I did my third trimester was prep muffins, pancakes, and bfast sandwiches to keep in the freezer. I was so sad when they ran out 😂
Praying for your delivery and postpartum ❤

The owlet raised my anxiety even more because of false alarms when the sock would shift in their sleep. But we also had a nicu baby so the false alarms were extra triggering for me. Totally support people who enjoyed it and want to use it, just personally didn’t have a good experience with it.

Absolutely love the owlet! It gives me such a peace of mind when my baby makes a weird noise. You get live HR and O2 levels. It is super easy to use and the baby doesn't mind it. You don't have to worry about waking the baby to check on breathing. I have also found it useful now that the baby is in the nursery, because an alarm will go off if the baby is moving too much. I honestly don't know how I would sleep without it.

Love love love a wrap to baby wear for the first 6ish months!!! Once you figure it out, it’s super easy to put on. Love love the ergobaby 360 baby carrier. SO easy to figure out. Just clips!

Yes, yes yes to baby wearing! I didn’t start wearing my baby till she was about a month old and I wish I had done it sooner. Like you said, I also struggled in the beginning with trying to get things done around the house and Caring For baby when her naps were so short, it wasn’t until I started wearing her, that I started to get more peace of mind and want so overwhelmed with trying to get chores done. It can be intimidating at first. I just watched a lot of videos and tried it around the house. I started out with the wrap which is great but can be a little annoying having to tie it and making sure it’s not too tight or too loose I tried the ring sling and I found those were so much easier to use in public. You can Quickly put them on and adjust while baby is in. Now that I’m pregnant with baby number two, I got a another carrier that allows me to carry my baby on the back now that the bumps in the way . My first will only be 13 months when I have my baby in August, so I’m sure I’ll be baby wearing a lot.

LOVE the Owlet it quickly tracks their sleeping pattern and gives an accurate prediction of when they’ll wake up. You can set it to alert you for anything and there’s a specific alarm sound built in that goes off in case their heart rate or temperature drops/spikes (its something we faced and I promise you it is a sound that’ll wake you up and send you on your feet) It’s incredibly accurate at tracking their movements and sleep activity and we didn’t have a baby monitor so this gave us such a peace of mind. The alarms goes off in your phone and also where you charge the sock which also plays lullabies if it either senses that baby is coming out of REM sleep or the sock isn’t placed properly. I appreciated the way it’d send messages such as “Your baby may be uncomfortable” or “Your baby may be too warm” “Your baby is awake! Time to say hello😊!” It also gives cute little “baby is 3 months today🎉 they may start to….”. Highly recommend it to everyone.

I definitely recommend the owlet.. when pregnant I didn’t really think about it and thought it was unnecessary but our little girl ended up being born premature so I asked around and the NICU nurses told us they are quite accurate.. once we did finally get to bring baby girl home it gave me such peace of mind, and honestly the ability to sleep well between feeds knowing that if something sinister were to occur, we would be notified immediately.. used for 10months and only alarmed once when she had RSV which we ended up needing hospital for anyway..

Hi, Jess! I really enjoyed your video. I’m a college student, I saw it upload earlier in the week when I was studying for finals. I saved it to watch for when I finished all of my classes and was moved out and back home. Thanks for helping me relax and do some self care after a busy semester❤ I appreciate what you have to share!

My lactation consultant gave me a tip to cut out little squares of wax paper and to put them on after applying the nipple cream. This helped to keep the cream on you instead of just absorbing in your bra. This helped so much! Good luck with everything. You got this!
