indy top washers are sharp. it's a good idea to file/sand it so it doesn't destroy the bushings. i usually take new trucks apart and wax all the contact points/pivot cup and file the washers

Use independent bushing on top and bottom with a washer on the top bushing like the washer that's on regular trucks and swap out the pivot cup for a tensor pivot cup then they are ok

I used to get wheel bite.
I changed the bushings to the hardest ones and no more wheel bite.

i have some '90s venture lows with stock grindking g6 or g7 bushings in them, they're at least 20yo and still in great shape. grindking was always on top as far as material quality imo. they made bridgebolts too, which were pretty cool.

Since you are on gear madness you should do the Mini Logo 8.75. they have a hollow cavity on the baseplate just like Grindking.

i've been wanting to try these. i do like grindking, i have 3 sets from '90s-'00s. g5 highs, and 2 sets of g6 or g7s. also have grindking kingpins and bushings in other trucks. their inverted kingpins, even the 30+yo ones, are still the best in the industry. the gk rocketbolts seem cool too, the splined hammer in ones.

i had a pair and the bushings are unusable. i put bones hard in there and they were ok but i still went back to indys just like always

Just don’t try skating a number 2 pencil and I think you’ll be good to differentiate from Braille.

I feel like wheelbite or even looser trucks improves my accuracy. Since the stakes are higher, I have to land it good or else it doesn't work.

Do they make a 9-9.125? Haven’t seen GK in ages, not since I was a little kid. The bushings used to suck. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug but as a 6’1, 190lb built guy, I’m not so sure.
