Here's a tip for anyone wanting to do it faster: if the edges need to cycle clockwise, keep the U. If it has to cycle counter clockwise, replace each U with U'

Hey, hey hey hey hey hey.
I wanted to let you know. You quite literally saved my day.

So, there’s this book I got from the library “supposedly on solving a Rubik’s cube”

It was quite simple, and the algorithms were fairly easy for me. Guess what though? The very last algorithm in the book was quite simply wrong. I had gotten to the final step, more then 4 dozen times, only to use the wrong algorithm and fail. I had to start over again, again, and again. Entirely from scratch every time. As frustrating as it was, I was convinced maybe I’d made a single wrong move. (Nope) working on it for roughly 8 hours. I learned every algorithm entirely and could get to that point without flaw. Sucks though, if the book was right, like you were. I would’ve solved it 6 and a half hours ago :)))

what if you have two solve sides and then the other two is not, either they are facing each other or they are side by side. But the other two sides are already completed. Please answer.

If you have a bar, , the algorithm can be changed a bit like instead of
F2 U L R' F2 L' R U F2
It can be
F2 U M' U2 M U F2
It's the same but I guess easier 🙂
