“No question of criticising Indian Army…” Shashi Tharoor on ‘Tawang’ Clash

As days continue to pass after the Indo-China clash in Tawang, the border issue with China has become a constant topic of discussion by the Opposition leaders. Talking on the same, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said that his party wants Government to take Opposition and the people of India into confidence about what exactly they see on border. “Party and other Opposition parties have been asking for a discussion (on China). While we're all united in standing up for the nation and security of our country, we want Government to take us and the people of India into confidence about what exactly they're seeing on border,” he said. Addressing allegations of insulting the Indian Army, the Congress Leader said, “No question of criticising Army. The question is about the country's political leadership. Why won't they be doing their job or being politically accountable to the nation? Not calling the Army to explain, asking the political leadership to explain.”

Shashi sir even you know the fact where actually Nehru ji discussed China in parliament only and only after China infiltrated deep inside, took control of vast border area of India and well settled on strategic mountain posts. Initially he ignored all inputs by the then commander of the IV Corps Lt Gen B.M. Kaul and the intelligence reports where nehru and his arrogant defense minister Krishna Menon have firm believe in Hindi-Chini Bhai Bhai Naara, which ultimately cost India dearer with heavy losses. The good thing is at least present govt. is taking preemptive steps, consulting with Defense officers and given free hand to Army while tackling Chinese cockiness.

I can't understand what exactly opposition want to know about tawang skirmish incident !! Military operation details supposed to be remain secret.
It's not happened for the first or not going to be the last time.
All these people were sleeping when they were in power for many decades. They did nothing when it comes to infrastructure projects for faster mobilization of troops & equipments along LAC. Forget about LAC, people have difficulty in reaching inner areas. People are using colonial era bridges in many parts.
