This is the problem with the Jedi in the prequels. They don't understand the power of attachments. While they can be used negatively, they can also be used positively. Also jedi naturally form attachments without realizing it.

Master and Apprentice will form a bond and an attachment to each other. Plo Koon always looked after Ahsoka Tano. Obi-Wan bond with Anakin and his love with Satine.

I loved in the Clone Wars how Obi Wan told Anakin he understands what he’s going through because of Satine. That was a cool storyline to show that Jedi’s falling in love are way more common than what was shown in the movies

Not very wise to pretty much order a Senator to end a relationship, even if it is a Jedi she’s in a relationship with. This was their problem, they thought only about themselves and not others. Seems both arrogant and selfish to me. And to do it with a Senator like Amidala who is one of their biggest supporters, isn’t smart at all. But I also don’t think highly of the Jedi Order, and if they hadn’t been this way, maybe they wouldn’t have pushed Anakin into becoming a Sith- which they did.

People seem to misunderstand the meaning of letting go of attachments. A Jedi should fight their ego and their selfish desires, which means that, even though they can feel love, that love should not prevent them from doing the right thing, or following the will of the Force.
So Anakin in ep.2 was technically right. Love isn't explicitly forbidden (contrary to what the Council says), but things like "I will destroy the galaxy for you" are.
